The word lasagna, referred  originally to a type pf cooking pot, now describes the food itself.

It is made with alternate layers of pasta, cheese, and meat sauce and /or tomato sauce.

Below lies a very tasty lasagna recipe. Try it 😉


Meat Filling:

500 gr meat (chicken(boneless chicken legs(tastier) or boneless breast) or pork mixed with beef (the pork and beef must be minced, the chicken is your choice))

  • Vegetable mix ( mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes) (if it is frozen about 500 gr) if they are fresh put as many as u like) (btw the vegetables are optional…I mean u can do it without them… but it is tastier with them :P)
  • 2 medium onions
  • 4-5 garlic cloves (large)
  • 250 gr Sweet corn
  • 1 jar tomato sauce
  • 1 can peeled tomatoes (whole or cubes)
  • 1 glass of wine
  • Curry, other spices (for the type of meat u use)and basil
  • Olive oil
  • Soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce or both

White sauce

500 ml milk

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 30 gr Parmesan


Lasagna pasta

  • 250 gr mozzarella
  • 300 gr parmesan
  • Basil


Meat Filling:

Cut the chicken into small cubes. Put the mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes in a large frying pan and cook a bit (on a high flame) stirring from time to time, when most of the water is gone add some olive oil, the onion cut into small bits and the corn, when the onion starts to get a bit golden add the meat, leave it for a bit stirring from time to time, add garlic cloves cut in small slices, the spices(curry , pepper, basil and the others u chose), the soy sauce( it has 2 purposes taste and salt…. Since I don’t like to use salt I use soy sauce instead), worchestershire and the wine, stir well and after the wine has evaporated add the tomato sauce and the peeled tomatoes leave it about 5 mins. Don’t forget to stir  😀 Then take it off the stove.

White sauce:

In a small pan cook for a bit the flour in the olive oil, then add the hot milk stirring all the time ,then add the parmesan . (after u put the milk u leave it only a little on the stove, then u add the parmesan, otherwise it will be too thick)


Pick a good tray so that the pasta would fit exactly, I suggest to use 3 foils of pasta for 1 layer. Grease a little bit the tray then add some hot white sauce, after put the layers in the following way:

Layer1: pasta

Layer2: hot white sauce

Layer3:meat filling

Layer4: slices of mozzarella


Layer6 meat filling

Layer7: parmesan

Layer8 hot white sauce


Layer10(optional): hot white sauce

Layer11(optional): meat filling)

Layer12(optional): parmesan

Layer13(optional): pasta

Layer14: the rest of the white sauce

Layer15: parmesan and basil

Then put it in the oven (medium heat ~180) for about 30 mins
